2026 New York State January Maple Conference

COBLESKILL, NY – The Catskill Maple Producers Association (CMPA) proudly announces that SUNY Cobleskill will serve as host site of the 2026 NYS January Maple Conference. For the first time in more than 25 years, the annual maple extravaganza returns to the Catskill region where it will be hosted at the College of Agriculture and Technology at Cobleskill for the first time. The day-and-a-half conference will take place on Friday and Saturday, January 9 and 10, 2026.

The Catskill region is familiar with the idea of holding a conference dedicated to sharing ideas and techniques used in maple production. In 1996, the inaugural event of what is now known as the NYS Maple Conference was held at the Masonville BOCES campus. After two years in Masonville, the conference spent another two years at Norwich BOCES before moving to central New York for a two-decades run. Now, thirty years after its inception, the state event leaves the Syracuse area and returns to where the New York maple conference began.

The hallmark of the maple conference will feature more than 30 workshops dedicated to a variety of maple topics. This year’s conference theme -- “Back to the Basics Where It All Began” -- will focus on discussions and demonstrations led by maple producers and a variety of highly qualified, interesting and knowledgeable maple producers as well as industry presenters. From novice beginners looking to start a maple operation to small and mid-sized maple producers who want to hone their operations, the conference will offer participants an outstanding opportunity to network with other maple enthusiasts while expanding their own education.

In addition to the workshops, the conference will feature a trade show of the latest supplies and equipment conducted by maple vendors from across North America. Conference participants can shop, compare, and purchase maple equipment and supplies for the upcoming 2026 maple season.

The facilities at SUNY Cobleskill are ideal for the maple event. A large ballroom and lobby will host the trade show while spacious campus lecture halls and classrooms will host numerous workshops, demonstrations, and presentations. As the second largest maple region of the state, the 15-county Catskill region association has more than 80 maple producers and is a leading region for maple expansion and development in New York State.

Workshops, trade show participants, and conference details will be posted on the conference’s website at www.nysjanuarymapleconference.com or follow us on Facebook. For more information, contact us at info@nysjanuarymapleconference.com
